Jen is an incredible Realtor.  We have worked with Jen to purchase a number of homes over the past 5 years.  The majority of them were income properties but the most recent purchase was our own home.  Buying rental property is a piece-of-cake compared to purchasing a home you actually plan to live in.  When you buy your own home it comes with an entirely different set of emotions that were challenging at best.  Jen was there to ease our minds, calm our fears, and guide us through the entire process.

In late 2014 I made the decision to downsize from a two-story family home to a one-bedroom Penthouse Loft. As a single woman purchasing on my own, making this move was a scary decision to make and I could not have done it without the expertise of Jennifer Patterson. She shared her knowledge and experience with me to help me find the perfect new home but more importantly to help me get the confidence to make the decision. I have been in my new loft for almost 3 months now and I could not be happier. Moving is always stressful. It involves a lot of planning, a lot of organizing, and there is a lot of work involved.  My mother thought she had five weeks to pack up her house and find a temporary place to live with her two dogs while she searched for a condo that would meet all of her needs. Her home had been purchased by a developer and they had verbally agreed to a rental agreement that would allow her to stay in the house until the beginning of March.  I can't tell you what a relief it was to have that extra time. 

Then, six days before the closing date, my mother got a call from the real estate agent who had handled the sale of her home.  Her agent advised her the developers had decided against allowing her to rent the house because they'd realized they'd need to have the gas, hydro and water shut off for 30 days before the house could be demolished.  My mum was effectively told she'd be homeless in six days. The house was not packed. There was an overwhelming amount of work to be done in a very short time but most importantly my Mum hadn't been given an opportunity to secure another place to live.  The real estate agent who handled the sale of my parents' home, an industry veteran with decades of experience, had already told my mother that finding a place to live on a short term basis with two dogs was next to impossible.

I reached out to Jennifer in a complete panic. Within minutes I had her reply: "This can be fixed immediately".  

Within 24 hours Jennifer had found my mother a beautiful place to live that would accept her as a tenant on a short term basis - dogs and all.  There is no doubt in my mind that this arrangement was only made possible because Jennifer advocated for my mother.  She knew my mother would be a responsible, conscientious tenant who cares for the rental home as if it was her own.  Jennifer recognized the potential of a mutually beneficial agreement and made it happen.  

I've had the pleasure of knowing Jennifer for several years and I can vouch for her commitment to her clients.  If there is a win/win solution to be found Jennifer will find it. As I was sharing this story with family and friends I said: "this is the difference caring makes". Jennifer is truly invested in the well-being of all her clients and acts with the utmost integrity. Jennifer and Tammy helped Chris and I buy our first home in November 2014. Given that we were first time buyers, we were cautious to say the least. Our need not to rush into anything and the hot market at the time did not mix. Jennifer and Tammy were great. They did not rush us or push us into making any rash decisions. They were helpful, patient, knowledgeable and fun to work with. They were more than happy to spend as much time with us as we needed. They continued to show us houses until they found the perfect home for us. Luckily our offer was accepted and we have been happy in our home ever since. We would highly recommend Jennifer and Tammy for the real estate services that they offer. We will definitely be repeat customers at some point in the future. The only negative is that we miss seeing them now!!

I am sure you see levels of insanity, and perhaps a snapshot into lives, that you weren't expecting... maybe it's part of your job.  That said, I cannot thank you enough for making me and my kids a priority in your very busy life. 

I recognize that "leases" deliver very little in the form of compensation to you and your team.  The situation notwithstanding, you acted and treated me and my kids as if we were buying south of Lakeshore - so thank you for making us a top priority.

Getting Angela to the OT school district was no small feat and for that I am very grateful.
